Shot Pong Rack

What is Shot Pong?

Everyone, well almost everyone has come across the popular game of Beer Pong. We like to call Shot Pong, Beer Pong's little cousin. Rather than playing with 16oz cups, you play with 2oz shot cups. The concept is the same as beer pong. You want to get your pong into your opponent's cups. However, you don't toss it into the cups, you bounce the shot pong into the shot cups.

shot pong is more intimate

Once you land a shot pong into your opponent's cup, they drink the contents of that cup. When all of your opponent's cups are empty, you win. You can play with the shot pong racks close or further away for a bigger challenge. But don't be fooled, just because the shot pong racks are close, doesn't mean that the game is easy. Even at a small table, shot pong is a challenge in its own right.

Misconception #1 of Shot Pong

Now the big misconception is that Shot Pong is played with liquor and not beer. Trust me, you do not want to play Shot Pong with liquor. If you do the math, you are playing with (6) 2oz shot cups which is the equivalent of one 12oz bottle of beer. And depending on how fast you can sink your Shot Pong Balls into your opponents' cups, well it won't take long to be downing some beers.

Misconception #2 of Shot Pong

You do not throw the Shot Pong Ball into the shot cup. You bounce it. One bounce, two bounces, ten bounces, it doesn't matter as long as you bounce it into the cup. You could try throwing the shot pong ball into the cup, but it's much, much harder to do that way.
